Neck Pain, Head Tilted To The Left, Swollen Lymph Nodes Behind Ears. Serious Symptoms?
I have an eight year old daughter. I thought she may have slept on her neck wrong, but now her pain is getting worse. She has had her head tilted to the left for three days now. She points to the painful area, which are swollen bumps (nodes?) under her right ear. I will take her to the doctor tomorrow, but I m so scared this is serious.
Hi, nothing to worry to much. Though without proper clinical examination I cant comment exactly about the diagnosis however most likely chance is this a swelling of parotid gland, may be due to some infection. (like parotitis etc.) You have not mentioned any other symptom. So chance of more serious something is less. However go to doctor tomorrow.
Hope for the best. It will be alright.
Hi
This could be from muscle spasm - sternomastoid /platysmus etc...
Infection and pain could well be the cause
The best solution is to see you GP as soon as possible - the child needs to be examined for proper assessment and assistance
Good luck
