My husband has hernia surgery yesterday and has taken 26 750 es vicoden in 24 hours and his mom also decided she was a dr and gave him ambien because he could not sleep. Do I have reason to believe he could die?

That culd be overdose..consult his doctor who did the surgery and ask for adequate pain relief, taking such high doses could be dangerous.
