My 2-year-old Son Ate The Left Over Of The Food After The Dogs Had Eaten It, Should I Give Him Rabies Vaccine ?

I would like to ask if my son would need an anti- rabies shot. My 2-year-old son ate the left over of the food after the dogs had eaten it. The dogs we have is still a puppy who still do not need the rabies shot. Does he need the vaccine?

Hi
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.
If your dog is not rabid , it is unlikely that your son would get rabies. However , as Rabies is a dreadful disease , you should give it a thought.
This type of exposure to the saliva of animal does not happen in many situations.
Considering this , it is better to get a vaccine course to be on safe side.
I advise you to visit your Pediatrician and get the vaccine.
Take care
