Muscle Soreness In The Extremities. Difficulty In Moving. Reason And Suggestions?

I have a lot of muscle soreness on the outside of both arms, hips and the back of both thighs. Doctors have treated me for high throid, low vit D, testerone, Arthritis and taken me off
Crestor with no impact on the level of soreness. In the mornings, I have a hard time raising my arms above my shoulders or reaching down to pick up the paper. This has been going on since early May and has been building to my current level. If you have any idea of the sourse please let me know Also, would an Endocrinologist be the next logical doctor to see?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

From the given description, I suspect that the cause for your muscular symptoms could be either your thyroid status or Low Vitamin D status as both these conditions will lead to muscular issues.

The simplest and most effective way for sore muscles is rest to them. Use icing the muscles once in 2-3 hours. Gentle massage of the affected muscle with a counter irritant gels will provide some relief.

I suggest you to get your thyroid & vit D blood estimations and approach a physician or endocrinologist for further management.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
