Missed Periods After Protected Intercourse. Could It Be From Stress?
Hi Doctor, I'm a 15 year old girl worried about my periods...
my last period was around 5 weeks ago and I'm starting to get a little bit worried. I have been in a long term relationship with my boyfriend and we decided to have sex around 3 weeks ago, we used protection and I'm sure I can't be pregnant... but there is always that chance I could be. I was thinking my period might be late because of recent stress with exams but I can't be that sure; is there anyway I can tell that I will have my period? Thank you

The chances of pregnancy are rare with protected sex.
You should consult a gynaecologist for urine, blood test and ultrasonography to rule out pregnancy.
The missed period is because of stress also.

thank you for your question,
with protected inter course also there is always chance of getting pregnant.. no birth control is 100% effective so its better to be careful.. take urine pregnancy test but in early stage it can be false negative.. you can go for more confirmatory test like beta hcg level or ultrasound..
there also high possibility that your period are delayed just because of stress as you having exams thats very common..
i will suggest you to wait for few days and if still you dont get period consult gynecologist and get pregnancy test done..
