Migraines, Blurry Vision, Vomiting, Sleeplessness, Had Head Injury, Tiredness. Is It An Emergency?

Hey this is Kelly,
I have been reading other peoples post about their mirgrains and I too have mirgrains that sometimes last a week or more. Some of if not all of them are so bad that I cant stand light, sound, some one touching me, cant eat, my vision gets blurry, I vomit cant sleep. Im 31 and I was a very bad 4 wheeler accdeint where I was thrown off the back and hit my head really hard was coma for like a week. Im getting sick and tired of this, and I have not gone to ER. Im a little scard to go.

Hi Kelly,

Migraine responds well to treatment with prophylactic medicines like amitryptiline, propranolol and valproate. There is no need to be scared. Please see a doctor and get a medicine started for preventing the occurrence of episodes of migraine. These prophylactic medicines are to be taken daily. Pain killers can be taken as and when required, once an episode has started.
