Medicine For Eye Lid Infection Except Erythromycin

Hello, i have a bad eye infection. although its more the skin around my eyes that are hurting and itching. My actual eye balls seem pretty good. My eye lids are a darker color and wrinkled with a lot of itchyness. I went to the local doctor and he prescribed Erythromycin to rub on. ....but this is doing nothing. It only sooths it for a little bit. Is there another prescription i could take?
