Lump on back of left top side of my head.

i am a 34 year old female mother 0f 3 kids. I have been married 14 years. I woke up 3 days ago with a sore neck. I thought i slept wrong took advil and forgot about it untill meds wore off then i would feel it again. The next day I woke up my head felt sore. I felt a large lump about size of a 50 cent peice on the back upper left side of my head. I also felt 3 smaller knots on my head on the left and right side of my head. The next day I had swollen lymph nodes all up and down my left side of my neck. Now today my kids have swollen lymph nodes on the left side of the neck and sore neck. They also have run a low grade fever . I dont know if I have because i had been taken pain reliver for neck stiffness . My kids have insurance so I can take them to the doctor tomorrow but as for me I dont. I have no idea if the lump and the lymph nodes are connected, but Im scared. I have 3 kids to take care of and i have no insurance. help!

I just discovered lumps on the back of my head. They did not hurt initally, however now after 5 days they are getting painful when i touch them. I am also feeling numbness and tingling on my head. My doctor thinks they may be cysts and has given me an antibiotic. If not cleared up in 2 weeks or becomes painful I should go back. I am just wondering what you think it may be. Both areas are on the left side of the head. one on the back side and one on the top left side of head almost like an L shape.

Hello, I have a question, I have a large, hard lump on the back top of my head on the left side. It s not painful, and it doesn t move, I can move the skin around over it. It feels as hard as the rest of my skull and I first noticed it three years ago. I don t have any other symptoms. What could it be?

On August 6th 2012 my husband woke up with the worst headache of his life! He then started vaumiting through out the entire day for 2 weeks straight and had a stiff neck and sharp pain goind up the right side of his head no matter which way he turns his head it still shoot pain up the right side of the brain only! I took him to the hospital where they weighed him and he had lost 23 pounds in 2 weeks! They performed a CT and a spinal tap which both came back normal. The Doctor took some blood from him and it came back with his white blood count kinda of high. The doctor didn t know what it was so they gave him percocet and pills to keep him from throwing up. They also told him to go see a Nueroligist which we then made an appointment with them. In the mean time he still had the headaches and no matter what medication he took it only minimized the headache it never went away. So he finally got to see the Nueroligist and they want him to get a MRI and a MRA . We are waiting for the insurance to approve them going on another 2 1/2 weeks now! It has been almost 2 months total time now and the headaches and neck stiffness and the sharp pain going over the right side of his head is still the same! When he needs to turn to talk to someone he turned with his whole body cuz he can t turn his neck! I ve tried warm cloths, massaging his neck! What do you think it can be?

My almost 3 year old daughter woke up this morning with neck pain and stiffness...she will literally cry out in pain when she moves it a certain way. She is preferring to lay down the only way it doesn't hurt and she doesn't want to get up and play or move much. She does have cold/cough that started up on Friday....and her current temp is 99.2
