Leg Injury, Swelling, Painful, Bruised. Worry?

I was river rafting yesterday and got dumped. Smacked my leg really hard against a rock while I was being carried down river by the current. I have about a 7" bruise and about and inch and a half of swelling on the outside of my upper leg. But the pain extends to the front upper half of my leg. It is very painful to bend my leg at all. Is this just a really nasty bruise or should I be worried about something else?

hi,
thanx for writing to us.
i understand that u had injury.
well if swelling is there with the bruise and also slight immobility then there is a full chance that it might be fracture.
foremost thing is apply a cast and make it immoblie and consult an orthopaedecian for proper x rays and treatment.byeee.
