Knee Got Twisted. MRI Scan Shows Third Stage Tear. Advised Arthroscopy Surgery. On Ayurvedic Treatment. Safe Taking Cartigen?
Hello,
My right knee got twisted 6 months back when playing cricket and came to know it was "third stage tear" by an MRI scan after 4 months which incident took place. I hv tried English medicine at early stages but no improvement but advised to go for a arthroscopy surgery. So I started Ayurvedic afterwards, and feeling 70% ok. My questions are is it ok to take cartigen 1500? Will this develope the tissue in the knee? Any side effects?

I personally feel that conservative management is of not much help in severe grade meniscal tears (third stage tear). Arthroscopic management is the definitive form of treatment for meniscal injuries.
There is no harm in using Cartigen but there is no evidence that it will heal the meniscal tears.
