Jumped Off Coffee Table And Hit The Back Of Head. Large Bump With A Soft Squishy Centre On Head. Should I Be Concerned?
My 3 year old jumped off my coffee table and hit the back of her head. Within 30 seconds there was a large bump with a soft squishy center. She has been playing fine happy and content, very normal for her. It is at/past bedtime and she is sleepy now. Can she go to sleep and or does she need to see a dr about the squishy centered bump??

Watch her for symptoms like headache,dizziness and vomitting.If she developed any of these symptoms,take her to ER she may need CT scan head to rule out any internal bleeding.Chances of internal bleeding are very less as cranium (cavity which contains brain) is very elstic in childeren and resists shering forces of truma.If she didn't developed any of these symptoms there is nothing to worry.The small bump is haematoma (collection of vlood under skin and muscle) which will get resolve of itself.
