I have had mild body itch for about 5 weeks. Once or twice it has woken me up at night when my face has been itchy. I can get this anywhere on my body, on the soles of my feet and my face, including inside eyes, on my eyelids, lips and ears. There is no noticeable rash . I visited my GP last week (I also mentioned that my tongue felt slightly sore), and she has diagnosed scabies , based solely on the fact that the itch kept me awake once or twice. She has not seen any rash to verify this diagnosis however she gave me Lyclear for body plus Lyclear scalp application for my head. She also gave me Clarityn for day and Piriton for night use. I have used the cream and scalp application and am currently taking the tablets but don t feel any better and if anything feel worse! On top of this the scalp applicaton has ripped the colour from my hair, leaving me with dandruff . I am not sure if it is related but I have noticed in the last few days that my legs become very blotchy after coming out of hot bath or shower. I have also noticed five or six pimples have appeared at random places on my body since starting treatment. I should point out that I live alone, shower daily and my house is kept clean. I do have a cat, however he lives outside. My GP is convinced I got these scabies from a hotel I stayed in. Please help!
