Itching In Ears. Prescribed Cipro. Suggestions?

I have itching in both ears for a long time now. They have been chekded and are clear of wax. Was told they show
some irratation. A Dr. prescribed "CIPRO' HC OTIC some 7 or 8 months ago and it did not clear it up after using half the small bottle, so quite taking it. Maybe I should try again unless you know of a better liquid.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, it may be due to some fungal infection, or may be due to the dry ness of the ear. I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe fluconazole150 tab, stat, ofloxacin 200 B.D for 7 days, and a combination of sterid, antifungal, and antibiotic drops for local use. Thank you.
