I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Since the CT is normal your doctor is correct in saying there is nothing to worry. At times after a hit like that it is common to have some giddiness related to the sudden strain and tear of the head and neck structures. It will go away gradually, it's more a question of time not of specific medications and I don't think you should add other pills.

I hope to have been of help.

Neurologist, Surgical Dr. Ishu Bishnoi's  Response
Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. It is good that your CT scan report was normal. Vertigo may persist for some time after head injury. It can be managed by
: Taking bed rest
: Avoiding stress and strain
: Maintaine proper hydration by taking liquids (2.4 to 3 litres)
: You can take vertin or beta-histine which is most commonly prescribed dose. It can be taken upto 48mg daily under supervision. Do not take it without prescription.
: Other drugs which can also relieve are combination of cinnarizine and dimenhydrinate or individual drug. you can take them after proper prescription
: Get your BP checked up. If it is low, it can cause vertigo. For relief, increase salt intake, fluid intake.
Hope it will help you.

Thanks. Take care.
