Is There Any Side Effects For Long Term Use Of Lubowel?
Is continuous usage of Lubowel 24 plus LIVOLUK syrup dangerous in the long run ? I take them daily at bed time since I have very severe constipation problem. Age 56 years, height 183 cm and have burning hand and feet syndrome since the lasy 10 years.

Lubowel 24 capsule contains lubiprostone that is used in the treatment of constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. By relaxing the muscles in the stomach and intestine, increasing intestinal fluids secretion as well as intestinal motility, it helps to prevent constipation. Long term side effects of Lubowel are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, diarrhea, electrolytes imbalance like hypokalemia, muscle cramps, feeling of tingling or burning sensation of hands and feet, flatulence, allergic reactions etc.
Livoluk Oral Solution contains lactulose that is used in the treatment of constipation. It belongs to the group of medications known as laxative medications that is also used in the treatment of hepatic encephalopathy. Long term side effects of nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, electrolytes imbalance, muscle cramps, burning or tingling sensation of hands or feet due to electrolytes imbalance.
You should take Lubowel 24 capsule and Livoluk Oral Solution according to your doctor's advice. Don't continue to take these medications without consulting your doctor first.
