Hello! Olmesartan is hypotensive agent that belongs to angiotensin receptor blockers group of drugs. Angiotensin II is a substance that stimulates the muscles in blood vessel's wall to contract. These drugs stops angiotensin II to bind with its receptors in vascular walls, so stop its contracting role and consequently the narrowing of blood vessels, so the pressure inside them is lower. These drugs have side effects like most drugs. The most common(with a frequency um to 10%) are sexual disfunction, headache, fatigue, dizziness, back pain, high level of blood sugar and blood triglycerids etc.
If you experience any of these effects you should talk to your doctor and put in balance negative and positive effects.
I hope i have been of help.
