Is there any relationship between blood cholestrol and SGPT ?

Hi, I am having SGPT value 44 against the normal range mentioned in the lab report (Male: 5 to 37). Also i have got the lipid profile report that shows that blood cholesterol level is high. I m confused that SGPT value an issue now and also is there any relationship between blood cholesterol and SGPT?

Welcome to Healthcaremagic forum,

The SGPT 44 is borderline normal, need not worry about if the cholesterol also is marginally raised then i would consider the food you consumed before the test sample withdrawn might be fatty in content. And yes there is relation between SGPT and cholesterol as both are the indicators of liver health.
