Is There Any Lotions For Rosacea?

Hi, I recently been diagnosed with rosacea and ocular rosacea. I have facial redness and little bumps. My eyes are dry and with puffy eyelids. I am extremely sensitive to antibiotics so prescription treatment is not recommended for me at this time. Are there lotions, cleansers, over the counter aids that may help my face and eyes? The only time my rosacea is unnoticeable is when I m freezing cold. Any advice is most appreciated.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would recommend you to use a soap-free cleanser (Cetaphil cleansing lotion for sensitive skin) for washing face, a calamine lotion on the entire face during the day time and clindamycin gel on the red areas of the face twice daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
