Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

Polio is a disease which affects the nerve and the particular muscle supplied by that nerve and leads to weakness and atrophy of the muscle. Polio is a disease which is irreversible and once the damage is caused it is permanent.

The weakness of the affected muscle usually the lower limb will affected which can be strengthend by the exercise but the damage caused by the virus is permanent.

The calipers will support you while walking but the damage caused by this entero virus is permanent.
Thank you.
