Is There Any Anti Diuretic Food To Reduce The Intake Of Medicines?

Hi. I have Diabetes Insipidus and am currently taking Desmospressin Acetate nasal spray to treat it. I was wondering if there any anti-diuretic foods or herbs that I could try that would maybe help me cut down on the amount of medicine I have to take. Thank you

Hi,

No there are many diuretic foods but to decrease urine production without causing renal insufficiency is not possible as you basically need decreased hormone release or decreased receptor action for the hormone and that needs regular medical therapy with monitoring and endocrinologist follow up.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
