Is There Any Alternative Other Than Surgery For Thyroid?
Sir my wife has thyroid problem. I went and met a doctor the sample be taken at throught and tested. He said there no symptoms of cancer. But the swelling is increasing without pain. He advised me to operate and remove it. please guide me without operation any possibility to cure it. If operation done how long she has to take rest. What are the problem will to be faced. She is 46 years old. Thank u sir

If she feels comfortable with it and no cancer has be detected, then she may as well deny surgery. But as it increases in size, it would most likely lead to complications like difficulties in breathing and feeding which would make surgery mandatory. Most persons after surgery require drugs fr the rest of their lived to support the normal functions of the thyroid. Surgery is not too invasive and recovery often occurs within two weeks.
