Is There A Chance Of Pregnancy Despite Taking Ipill After Having Sex?

Hey I had unprotected sex with my gf and I think I haven t ejaculated inside her but she says she felt I have ejaculated some of it and fully not half she says a little bit of it and for so I have given her ipill within 5 hours of having sex . Does there is any chance of her getting pregnant? It had now been only one day and she says she has body pain. Does it is the sign of periods? Please elaborate

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. When the emergency contraceptive pill is used within the stipulated time interval like you have done, it gives ample protection around 90-98 percent. So the chances of conception are very slim even if the intercourse happened during the fertile or ovulation phase of the cycle. However, as the pill contains high doses of hormone, the hormone milieu will be disturbed and can cause withdrawal bleeding and a delay in the next natural period by a week or two. The symptoms experienced are due to the hormone effect. Please get further help if she becomes overdue for her next period by ten days. Take care.
