Is The Prescribed Diaxon Be For Lung Infection?

I am 46 and have been experiencing a dull pain in my left lung off and on for the past 3 weeks..Monday Morning I went to the er..and they checked for a blood clot--which was negative..they did a lung x-ray but did not give me the answer to that they did blood work and then perscribed Diaxon....is this for a lung infection?..before I could ask the doctor he was gone..

I can understand your concern.
No, it is not antibiotic so it is not for lung infection.
It is painkiller.
So you are not having any lung infection.
Your pain is mostly musculoskeletal pain.
So along with this drug, you should also do following things for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid movements causing pain.
2. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
3. Apply warm water pad on affected areas of chest.
