There are two pleural layers surrounding lungs:
1. Visceral pleura
2. Parietal pleura
When they are inflamed it is known as pleurisy.

Most common symptom is chest pain on deep breathing, coughing, sneezing, yawning.

Other common symptoms are a cough, fever, breathlessness, weight loss etc.
