Is The Pneumonia Patch Found In The Chest Treatable?
Hi this is Chandni from New Delhi, India..i am 25 ..Recently i had suffered a severe asthama attack 2 weeks back and after my chest x ray report came out i was told by doctors that i have a small pneumonia patch on my chest..i have taken a 15 - day antibiotic course for that..what i wanted to know was is the patch treatable? will it heal..kindly guide me through this doctor.

Thanks for your question on HCM. Pnrumonia is treatable, so no need to worry. In my opinion you should go for repeat chest x ray. If the patch is disappeared than you are cured from pneumonia. But patch is same or worsening than you should consult pulmonologist and get done bronchoscopy and BALanalysis to search for causative organism. This will guide antibiotic therapy too.
