Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
36 W/M, 6ft, 163 pounds. Testosterone level is at 390. Years ago my doc prescribed me cypionate testosterone injections. But for some reason my doc says my levels are normal. Yes they are but they are on the lower side of the spectrum. Any advice on how I might be able to approach my doc with the need for the injections again.
I agree with your doctor that your testosterone is normal. Being on the lower side of normal is still normal, so I agree with him that you do not need testosterone injections.
It would be irresponsible for doctors to give testosterone to every one who wanted it, because it can lead to serious side effects including prostate cancer. I would be reassured that your testosterone is normal.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch,
General & Family Physician
