It helps in providing relief to a sore throat and cough, along with easy breathing by its bronchodilator effect. Maxtra yyrup contains ingredients namely Chlorpheniramine and Phenylephrine. It has anti-allergic with decongestant action. Hence it is more commonly used for treating common cold and cough. Since a single dose of Ascoril syrup has been given instead of Maxtra for your child, it should not cause any problem with it.
