Is Sudden Blindness In Right Eye With No Affect On It By Light For A Minute Concerning?

Hi, I woke up the other morning and was almost completely blind in my right eye, I could only vaguely make out my room like there was a very dark veil in front of my eye, this lasted for about 60 seconds and when I got up to go to the bathroom to look at my eye I turned the light on and my left eye squinted bc of the sudden light but while I could see out of my right eye by then it wasn't affected by the light at all, it only happened once but should I be concerned?

Hello
It seems from the history that you had an episode of sudden blindness in right eye lasting for few seconds.
This indicates transient loss of vision and it occurs in carotid artery disease, prodromal symptom of central retinal artery occlusion...
Hence this requires evaluation to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly. This is essential to prevent permanent loss of vision. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
