Is Smoking Cannabis Advisable While On Antibiotics For Bacterial Infection?

I m suffering from a bacterial infection, which is why I m taking antibiotics (cotrimoxazol) and also ondansetron. I have a lot of abdominal pain and painkillers are just not getting the job done. So, my question is: can I smoke weed? Will it affect the effectivness of the antibiotics? Thank you for your answer.

I read your query and understood your concerns.

Smoking weed is helpful in relieving pain and other symptoms. Using medical Marijuana is legal in some countries (like Netherlands and Canada). The use of Marijuana has little side effects such as (lowering of libido and sperm counting especially if you use it for a long period).

However, you may use Marijuana for a short period to improve your symptoms, while you are taking antibiotics. No interaction are observed and it will not affect the antibiotic effectiveness.
