Is Seizures Common After A Surgery For Cerebral Aneurysm?

My fil has had a surgery for cerebral annurysm. Post surgery 12 days have been with no complications like vasospasm, but now after 15 days, he is getting seizures. Is this normal. Also he is yet to open his eyes. Though he opens only for painful stimulus.
