Is Rectal Pain At Night Normal?

I have on rare occasions have pain in rectum which happens during the night and wakes me up. It is usually because I can not pass the gas that has built up. This pain can actually make me pass out and fall unless I immediately take GasX to relief it. It has hurt so intensely that I when this happens immediately jump out of bed and take GasX. I also seem to find it can happen in a less painful method sometimes during the day but mostly it is always at night while I am sleeping.

Hello,

The rectal pain that you have at night can be related to irritable bowel or constipation or indigestion. It is best to take a laxative to keep your bowels clean and see if it helps.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
