Is Pregnancy Possible After Missing Birth Control Pills For A Week?
I started birth control july 27 , when i got my period. My bf and i had unprotected sex for over a week. i was off my period on 30 but missed my pill. Like i said i just started taking the pill. I am now 6 days late on my period. could i be pregnant. i have cramping and i had spotting about a week ago.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Missing birth control pills and having unprotected intercourse always carries a risk of becoming pregnant. Since your description says, your periods are delayed and you had cramps and spotting, pregnancy definitely needs to be ruled out. Kindly get the following tests done and consult Gynecologist with the report for appropriate management. 1. Urine Pregnancy Test. 2. Serum beta-HCG levels. 3. Transvaginal ultrasound scan (TVS) of pelvis. Hope the information provided would be useful. All the best.
