Is Onglyza Or Insulin Required For Type 2 Diabetic?
Hi-My spouse is type 2 diabetic-his weight has increased immensely over last year-and now he is having pain in feet and legs and sleeping excessively-his blood sugar is 230 in the morning and at night--he eats a lot of junk food and high fat with low carbs--he will not go to a doctor and I am very concerned--he takes metformin only-and I feel he may need onglyza or insulin--please advise--Ann
DEAR MA'M, HI! I UNDERSTAND AND APPRECIATE YOUR CONCERN. BUT THERAPEUTIC LIFE STYLE CHANGES ARE THE PILLARS OF DIABETES MANAGEMENT. IF HE IS NOT CONVINCED TO FOLLOW DIET RESTRICTION AND REGULAR EXERCISE PLAN I AM AFRAID NO MEDICINE, ONGLYZA OR EVEN INSULIN WOULD WORK. REGARDS!
