Is Mild To Severe Cramps With Flatulence A Sign Of Pregnancy?

I have been on Junel Fe 1.5/30 oral contraceptive for Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding since May 1, 2013. I finished a pack on June 28, 2014 and could not obtain a new pack for two weeks after that. During that time, I had unprotected sex on July 11, 2014, but no ejaculation. There is, however, a possibility of there having been some pre-ejaculate. I obtained a new package of pills July 12, 2014 and, in a panic, I took a week s worth of pills. Now, ever since July 15 and going into today, I ve had mild to severe cramps and some gas, but nothing else. Could I be pregnant?

Hi there,
I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1. Fisst of all do not panic.

2. As you have consumed almost a weeks long dose of pills at once, your symptoms can be due to progesterone contents of the pills.

3. I will suggest you to get blood beta HCG test at least 10 to 12 days after your last unprotected sex act. Levels of beta HCG less than 5 will rule out pregnancy and levels above 25 will confirm the pregnancy.

4.As you might be knowing taht pre ejaculate does contain enough sperms to cause pregnancy.
So it is advisable to use condom at such times.

Secondly you can continue to take daily dose of your birth control pills. It will help to prevent pregnancy and treat your menstrual problem also.
I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
