Is Medical Marijuana Effective In The Treatment Of Depression?

Good evening My primary doctor have prescribed me Fluoxetine 20 mG capsules. They worked for a couple months, but last time i visited and informed him that i need it some different, he told me that i could take two capsules a day. I do not like to increase the number, I am afraid of side effects. I have been reading on medical marihuana to treat depression, and the studies are not definite, some doctors states that helps, others disagree, but since the research says that it help some people, I am willing to try and see if works.

Hello,

Medical marijuana is not a good choice for depression.

Consult a psychiatrist and start antidepressants.

Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety. Relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation can help a bit.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
