Is Lump Under Nipple Oozing Watery Substance In An Infant Serious?

I have a month old baby boy. I just noticed that on the left side of his chest under the nipple it has like a lump or circle shaped solid tissue under the skin. Also if you pinch the nipple a water color substance comes out. What is this and should I be concerned?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

What you mentioned is absolutely normal. This happens because of hormonal changes after birth. It will disappear gradually. Don't pinch or press it, it will lead to secondary infection and abscess formation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK, Pediatrician
