Hello,

There are so many causes for menstrual abnormalities, and common being thyroid. Both in hyper and hypothyroidism, there will be menstrual abnormalities. In Hypothyroidism, there will be unexplained weight gain also. My suggestion is please consult a gynecologist for more suggestions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Siddartha
