Is It True That General Anaesthesia Can Cause Can Cause Memory Gap?

is it true that general anaesthesia can cause can cause memory gap? A friend of mine always forgot something even the words shes newly spoken she cant remember sometimes.. looks like she has an Alzheimer s disease... we ask her about this and she replied that shes undergone a certain operation and the doctor injected her a general anesthesia .. Is this the real reason why she had a memory gap..?

hi,thanks for query.Please ask her to see neurophysician and let him investigate her properly.This is not known and rather then relying on guess she needs proper diagnosis and treatment.Please request to her to see a doctor.Depending upon age there could be various reasons for this.
