Is It Safe To Take This Drug?

I started 10mg of this drug yesterday.but had violent diarraha. With 8 more trips to the bathroom. My dr is out of town they tol me to wait until he comes back. I stopped the med today. No problems. I m thinking of cutting the dosage in half and try again tomorrow. Is this wise? I would then would be taking only 5mg. Also had a stroke two years ago is it safe to take this drug because one side effect is seizures. I can t afford to pay. Sorry

Hello,

You failed to mention the name of the drug, so I'm going to try and help you out the best I can.
If a drug is causing you to have violent diarrhea then, clearly, you should stop taking it, unless doing so is more dangerous than continuing it and endure the side effects. Make sure you contact a doctor as soon as possible.
In the mean time, you should try and replace the water and electrolytes you have been using through diarrhea in order to avoid serious dehydration. Electrolyte water or over the counter solutions taken every now and then, should be fine.
