Is It Safe To Take Tramadol And Palexia For Chronic Back Pain?

Hi, I have chronic back pain, fell 9 years ago onto my lower back, had 2 operations and been on pain management ever since. However now the left side of my back is causing problems, seen consulatant today at hospital, had MRI and disks protruding and talking about an operation. I have been given Anzicalm, Palexia, Tramadol and I am also on Palexia. I feel like a zombie in pain. I am worried if any of these tablets are addictive or if there are any other meds that may be more beneficial. I was put on Palexia 2 years ago, as an alternative to morphine I don t like it, it makes me feel very strange. Would morphine be a better option?

Hello,

All these medicines Anxicalm (Diazepam), Palexia (Tapentadol) and Tramadol have addiction potential. Morphine also leads to addiction. Your pain is due to the discs pressing on the nerves. If you have access to physiotherapy and Neurontin, these can be considered as alternatives.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
