Is It Safe To Take MT Pill And Misprost Pill A Day Later For Terminating Pregnancy?

Hi a friend of mine is pregnant. she had her last periods on 12June 2013 and she does not want this pregnancy. Is it safe to have MT pill and then take misprost pill after a day after taking MT pill. please advice. She cant go to a Dr for abortion because this is a middle eastern country.

Thanks for the query.
It is not correct to take tablets for abortion without consulting doctor.
This may end in complications.
Let her once consult gynecologist and get examined.
And one ultrasound is also needed.
Ultrasound helps in confirming the intrauterine pregnancy, to estimate the gestational age and to rule out the possibility of ectopic pregnancy.
Taking tablets without ruling out ectopic pregnancy can lead to complications.
So, after confirming intrauterine pregnancy only she take tablets according to the gestational age with your doctor's advice.
Upto 7 to 8 weeks medical termination with tablets is possible.
