Is It Safe To Take Laxopeg For Constipation While Suffering From Parkinson S Disease?

Hi Doctor, My father is 68 years old and he is suffering from parkinson since 2011 and for that we are taking medicine. But he is also having strong constipation from more than 10 years. He has diet control 1. Eating all fruits & dry fruits which is useful for constipation 2. Doing physicall execise and yoga 2 hrs daily.3. Drinking around 2 litres of water 4. He tried many medicine like Duplahac, Ayurvedic medicines, kayam churn ( but he is not taking this now as he makes him very week). Isabgol, Zandhu nityam (tab & powder) But still no solution and he is having gas problem as well. His stomach swells because of gas and chest pain also happens.One of the doctor suggested to tak Laxopeg. I am not sure what should we do now. We have not tried Laxopeg as of now. But it is used for preparation before endoscopy .Please please suggest

I really appreciate your concern, it seems that constipation being taken too seriously actually constipation is not pathological in origin then it must be taken that mush seriously and should never be treated with too many agents, but it need to be taken normally, continue fiber diet, plenty off drinking water, regular habit of going in toilet least concern whether it is need for this or not having feeling for this or not but still go inside and sit there for while no matter if stool pass out or not, no need to apply any force, ask him not to over conscious for this, MIR would be advisable than endoscopy, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day,
