Is It Safe To Take Clonazapam Every 4 Hours For The Anxiety Attacks?
I have recurring anxiety and thought I had been doing very well for a year. However I have developed it again since it has been triggered by family issues. Is it alright to take Clonazapam every 4-5 hours as I am worried about dependency. My doctor has me on Effexor as well as sequel which he upped from 50 to 100mg.
Hi, I do understand that you are having anxiety and not able to control it. Generally, clonazepam takes care of anxiety and gives you relief. However, its important that the condition as such is treated. You are taking Effexor (venlafaxine) and sequel (quetiapine) for you problem and if still you are developing anxiety, I would like relook at the dose of the medicines. If the dose of effexor could be increased (I cant comment as you haven't mentioned its dose), that would be a good option. Taking clonazepam every 4-5 hours will take care of your anxiety but will not stop further development of anxiety. In addition, gradually you might need the urge to increase the dose as well. So, I would advise you to discuss this with your psychiatrist, and not take clonazepam so frequently without proper supervision. Hope that helped. Best wishes.
