Is It Safe To Take Celebrex And Tylenol Prior To Ankle Surgery?
My daughter has outpatient surgery to remove pins and a plate from her ankle. The surgery is on Friday, May 22nd. Just re-reading the pre-surgery instructions and it says to stop taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory or blood thinning medications and any Diet Pills or ADHD medications. She is taking Celebrex, Tylenol and Zonasimide. Do any of those apply?
Celebrex - stop 1 week prior to surgery. Because is affecting the bleeding during the time of surgery bleeding can be increase at the time of surgery so you should avoid the Celebrex one week before surgery but with Tylenol it's a simple paracetamol you can take these it has no effect on bleeding it is antipyretic and analgesic it helps in decrease pain.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
