Is It Safe To Take Buspirone With Mirtazapine For Anxiety?

I just got Buspirone from the VA for anxiety. I am also taking mirtazapine 45 mg. I take that at night. I m supposed to take Buspirone twice a day. I had a very bad experience with one of the antidepressants where my neck and tongue swelled up. I am 69 years old and otherwise in good health. I drink too much alcohol and am trying to stop. I have a very stressful job with problems at work. Is this Buspirone like valium???

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, I would like to advise you that if your are physically healthy then try to be mentally healthy too and for that you need to come out of the stress, and this is not difficult to do, just try some exercise, yoga, meditation, relaxation therapy, be positive, try to control your thoughts, all the anti-psychiatric medicines are same as long as there mode of action and side effects are concern, it is better to stay away from them if you could do this, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
