Is It Safe To Take Advil Four Tablets Every Eight Hours For The Migraine Headache Without Any Ide Effects?
My son is currently taking Fioricet for migraines that he has frequently - literally on a daily basis. Neurologist currently has him on Divalproex SOD DR 250 MG.
Fioricet only relieves his headaches about 50% - Pharmacist recommended Advil Migraine and for him to take 4 capsules every 8 hours or to try and take Aleve. - Advil bottle says to take only 2 capsules every day.
Q is - Can he safely take 4 capsules every 8 hours?

Hi,
If the dose of 1 capsule of Advil Migraine is 200 mg of Ibuprofen, then, can safely take 4 capsules every 8 hours as it will be a total of 800 mg per day.
If the dose is 400 mg, then should take 2 capsules per day, making a total of 800 mg per day.
I'd suggest not to take Fioricet if you take Advil Migraine to avoid complications.
