Is It Safe To Switch To Procardia Xl Which Is A Calcium Channel Blocker From Metoprolol Which Is A Beta Blocker?

I am currently taking metoprolol but would like to switch to procardia xl. I have high blood pressure and lupus anticoagulant, for which i take lovenox. I also have undiagnosed raynauds. Would this be an appropriate choice for me? And, how would I change from a beta blocker to a calcium channel blocker. Is it a big ordeal? And, how would the calcium blocker effect me?
