Is It Safe To Continue With Duphaston And Utrogestan After Having Embryo Transfer?
Hi, I did an embryo transfer 3 days ago and my doctor prescribed me duphaston and urogestan for 30 days. But I read through internet that it should not be consumed during pregnancy. It confuses me. Can you please give me explanation? Thank you very much
Yes, it is safe to take these medications. Duphaston and Utrogestan are synthetic forms of female hormone progesterone which normally support and maintain an early pregnancy. They also reduce the risk of miscarriages / abortions and preterm delivery.
Take them as prescribed. It is also used to reduce the risk of miscarriages or abortions. Uterogestan much evidence that it is supportive for early pregnancy and reduces preterm birth in at risk patients.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician and Fetal Medicine
