dear Doctor I am an 84 year old diabetic man thinking of having both knees replaced in one operation, by the way I do 36 unit of insulin in the Morning and 26 in the evening, can You please advise , the best options for an old man. Best Regards Orazio Farinella
Dear orazia, ur age n insulin doses explains me ur condition , m afraid that i cant permit u for knee replacement as diabetic pts has poor healing capacity n many othet associated disorders fluctuating B.P , cholestrol , serum creatiniine n uric acid......u should better consult a diabetologist and physiotherapist together.pls avoid surgery ...
