Is It Possible That Sharp Pain In Temple Area Be Related To A Serious Underlying Problem?

I have occasionally a very sharp pain in my tempel area, and voiced my concerns to my DR, also had an ultrasound done of my carotid, and it was fine. Is it possible that there is a problem with my temporal artery, had a pain attack the other night for about 10 seconds I massaged my tempel area to make the pain go away.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having sharp pain in the temple area. You need to worry if the headache is severe associated with visual blackouts, pulsations of vessels, myalgia and age more than sixty years. As in these cases it can be a sign of temporal arteritis. If you any of the above associated factors need to consult your doctor for further evaluation to rule out temporal arteritis.
If you do not have any of these problems then no need to worry.

Thank you
